South Korea in bid to kick-start economy
South Korea unveiled a Won17.3tn ($15.4bn) supplementary budget on Tuesday to kick-start the stalled economy, as domestic consumption remains sluggish while exports slow because of the weaker yen and cooling global demand.

Colombia launches stimulus measures
Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos on Monday launched a stimulus package aimed at easing the appreciation of the peso and boosting the economy after two sluggish quarters. The president said "the effort" would cost about $2.7bn.

Trafigura, one of the world's top commodities trading houses, has handed about $1.6bn to its senior employees in the past three years by buying back their shares, according to financial statements revealed in a bond prospectus.
